Emerald Coast Business Intermediaries was formed to provide a new level of service for those looking to sell and buy businesses in NW Florida and South Alabama. Known as “The Business Owner’s Business Broker”, our intermediaries are trained to the highest professional standards. They have years of experience and our managing intermediary in the Destin office has been helping people to sell and buy businesses for over 20 years. We have unique tools and processes to help people looking to sell or buy businesses with a national reach. The ECBI Team offers extensive knowledge of the current local market along with professional expertise to make buying or selling a business as smooth as possible for both Main Street and the larger Merger & Acquisition (M&A) transactions.

Our mission is to conduct a thorough, professional, well-planned, and well-executed transaction for both seller and buyer. For the business owner who is ready to sell, a detailed roadmap will be provided explaining the complete process of how we will guide you as you prepare your company for sale, and how we intend to market it to the world. For those who are new to business ownership or are looking to expand or diversify their business portfolio, we will customize a business search that lines up with not only individual business goals, but personal and financial aspirations as well. Together, we will provide South Alabama and North West Florida a new level of professionalism when buying or selling a business.

Our Team

The Emerald Coast Team is comprised of a group of experienced entrepreneurs that have started, bought, and sold businesses, and also participated in numerous national and regional mergers and acquisitions. Each member has their own individual skill sets and abilities, while overall possessing a strong business acumen. We understand both sides of buying and selling a business, and our number one priority is to meet and exceed your expectations. Each of our intermediaries have a Florida Real Estate license, but we only do business sales for companies with or without real estate ownership. Selling Businesses is our only Business!

Greg  is a successful entrepreneur that has founded, merged, acquired and managed more than a dozen growing companies.  These organizations have ranged from small independent companies to multi-state corporations with revenues in excess of $50 million.  He founded a same day courier company that grew both organically and through acquisitions to become one of the leading same day solutions providers in the Southeast. Prior to being sold to a private equity group, the company had grown to 18 offices with over 700 people. Greg also co-founded Falcon Flowback an oil field service company providing well monitoring services. He was responsible for funding, startup and business strategy, senior leadership and mentoring. Prior to being sold to a private equity group in November 2015, Falcon grew to be the leading Flowback company in the region. He is graduate of the University of Arkansas, a current school board member and is active in his community.

A veteran business intermediary with over 25 years of experience doing both Main Street and M&A transactions, Jeff has the knowledge to guide buyers and sellers through the acquisition and divestiture process. Jeff has a degree in Business Administration from Auburn University and is a member of both the International Business Brokers Association and the M&A Source. He holds the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation. The CBI, which represents the gold standard in the business brokerage industry, is granted to individuals who complete required course work, pass an extensive competency exam, and agree to uphold the IBBA’s Professional Standards and Code of Ethics. After over 16 years in plant, operations, and general management, with large food companies, including helping to sell a manufacturing and distribution division, Jeff and his wife Sheree opened an office with one of the large business brokerage franchises. As a licensed real estate broker in both Alabama and Florida, Jeff has been involved in the sale of many businesses in his career as a professional business broker. Now as manager and broker of the Destin office, he looks forward to helping you with a successful business transaction.

Daniel is a 4th generation Florida panhandle native, who was raised in Walton County. Daniel has a Finance degree from Auburn University. Since graduation, Daniel has worked extensively in sales where he excelled at developing and maintaining customer relationships, winning numerous accolades and awards. In his current role with Emerald Coast Business Intermediaries, he excels in bringing his area knowledge, financial acumen and small business skills together to design a professional, personal approach to each business engagement. With his experience of successfully closed business transactions in a variety of industries, he will help you sell your business for the best price in the shortest amount of time. Daniel also believes in helping those in need and giving back to the community. He is a founding member of Friends for Autism Awareness and serves as the non-profit’s Treasurer.

Michelle is a 25-year sales and marketing veteran who specializes in engaging closely with buyers and sellers through the acquisition and divestiture process. During her career she successfully created a mattress recycling business for a Central Florida non-profit that is a model for other social enterprises. She is a Business Administration graduate of the University of Central Florida, a local business owner, volunteers with Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge/Marine Mammal Rescue, on the Rebuilding Together Central Florida board of directors, and Destin Forward Class of 2021.

Sheree is a graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. degree in Education (special education). After teaching, and raising 3 children, she and her husband, Jeff, opened a business brokerage franchise in Dothan, AL in 1995. She has been actively involved in the business brokerage business as an office administrator since that start-up and has been working with the ECBI team since 2015. She has been a volunteer with Communities of Transformation in both South Walton and Dothan.
